Importance of Communication

The importance of communicating can only improve the quality of relationships in marriage. Communication ensures that the demands of the job are met accordingly. When communicating, the intent of the speaker is required. However, if any mistake is made, a stern response is expected. It gives more confidence to the listener.

The purpose of communication should be stated clearly. In addition, the target audience should know the nature of what is expected. First, a primary audience should be mentioned; this target audience is usually the reception or reinforcement group. The second group that should be mentioned is the readers. Also, the state of mind should be talked about.

Also, it is of importance to be straightforward and specific in establishing the intention of the speaker and the message he or she intends to convey. Communication can also take place through speech, oral cues, body language, gestures, pose, facial expressions, smiling, and sad expressions.

Time is the key to the success of communication. Moreover, timing is important as it enables listeners to create social context regarding the purpose of communication (Cooke, 2004). This helps to ensure that there is an improvement in the urgency and intensity of the message conveyed. Time of day is also very critical. At the end of the day, there are many workers on different shifts.

This helps to bring to light the high level of communication ability at work on a day. Also, personal preferences also aid in creating social context. It makes it possible for a group to understand an issue that is very long to resolve.

Toni and Gerry clearly know they are calling the Public Works Department of the City of Memphis, Tennessee. However, however, they only pay for the service they provide with the total cost of use of their tools being paid for by the city. They are neither present in the city building nor have permission nor the authority to interact with the people.

On a day when there is a mass ceremony taking place within the city, Toni wants to attend the mass. She wants to get personally involved and feel more personal and get closer to the people. She feels it would help her to have a deeper understanding of the event taking place. In Toni’s mind, this event is very important in the history of the city.

Gerry is also adamant to go visit a high school for a dance. This dance is a part of her birthday celebration, as she grows up in this community, she knows this dance took place within her first birthday. She knows where the dance is being held and also, who is being invited. She wants to go with her sister Mary, who will be a group girl at that party. She also wants to get close to the group. Therefore, she contacts Mary and enlists her help. She tells Mary to explain to Mary that she wants to join the dance. Mary starts to explain this to Mary but instead Mary asks Mary how many people are going to the dance.

This question brings all the excitement to Mary and Kennedy. They start to develop plans and a firm belief that they will be able to have fun and enjoy the dance. This shows that communication is very important and quite of a vital relationship. Communication needs the consent of others (Roger & K.W.M. Brandenburg, 2005, Pc). This is the fact that if they work for the city of Memphis, they need to achieve and achieve certain goals.

They have certain requirements from residents of the city. You can not work in any organization if you are not productive. This means that communication is essential for those that work for public works to get their tasks completed as planned. Communication also takes place when verbal energy is present. There is a lot of activity going on within an organization, where a lot of people are working individually or in groups. Therefore, it is quite important that they can communicate with others in order to complete a task correctly. It is also necessary when there is a conflict, as everyone is attempting to compete with each other to gain more functionality.

Regardless of the one’s position, you have to ensure that the message is clear, in order for all participants to understand. Therefore, you should also understand the message (Cooke, 2004). It will also improve and perfect the overall communication by enabling you to talk to members of your organization. Messages that are modified are most beneficial for ensuring that everyone can understand. It also creates a good atmosphere in an organization. It may also become rather advantageous for the organization.
